We grow up seeing Disney princesses having fairy-tale marriages, and watching tons of other Hollywood movies that form this image in our mind of what a couple should be like. We become convinced that a marriage can only be between a man and a woman, that are around the same age, that the man comes to save us on a white horse, and that from then on, the couple will live happily-ever-after, and have lots of children. But news flash – we’re living in the 21st century, and things are starting to change. Relationships are no longer always so conventional. Love is love, and our hearts will decide where to take us.
Although they were never officially married, Woody Allen and Mia Farrow shared one biological child, as well as two adopted children. Before dating Allen, Farrow adopted a daughter, Soon-Yi from Korea with her previous partner, Andre Previn. Allen left Farrow for her daughter, to whom he was technically her step-father at the time. Allen and Soon-Yi have been married already for an entire two decades. Since he was never actually married to her mother, he didn’t see it as a big deal.
