When we hear the word mold, there are many things that come to mind. For the most part, they are not positive words, and we don’t hear the word beautiful, that’s for sure.

But, believe it or not, there are actually some people out there who do in fact associate mold with beauty. An online community in Russia known as Mom I Have Grown Mold is actually a group of people who are all about mold.

These mold enthusiasts enjoy sharing their photos of mold, as well as seeing other’s mold pictures and experiences, both commenting and liking their mold centered posts. The group was first launched back in 2015, and today already has more than fifty thousand members.

If you put the gross aspect behind you, some of the photos shared on this social network actually do have a beautiful element towards them, but you can only really see it and appreciate it if you change your perspective.

According to the founders, there is a point in life where ”disgust ends, and admiration begins”. Mold is a part of nature, and nature is beautiful. Thankfully, users on this platform still have not forgotten about the dangers of mold, and are constantly sharing warnings about not getting too close to the mold then photographing it.
