For quite some time now, countries have taken a large initative to slow down the process of climate change. In order to do so, groups of people and organizations have worked together to plant an immense amount of trees.

The Great Green Wall is a project that has been in place for quite some time now. With the overall idea being quite simple and effective, this initiative has been endorsed by a multitude of African countries that see the need for restoration. According to Bored Panda, it “is an initiative that aims to combat the effects of desertification in the Sahel Region (Northern Africa) and climate change worldwide.” Even though it is said that all of these initiatives won’t be the reason that climate change is fixed, there is definitely no harm in planting trees.

It is said that the Great Green Wall project will provide carbon in the atmosphere but will also provide a number of socioeconomic advantages including jobs, opportunities and food resources. With that being said this idea is one of a kind and will only benefit not hurt the local community and area.

Hopefully, sometime in the near future, we will be able to see this project flourish. Due to its longevity and greatness of a mission, it will take some time. As we do know, the project has already been in place for around 10 plus years.
