There are no shortage of animal cafés where you can indulge in a nice cup of tea or hot chocolate, and pet adorable animals like cats and dogs. These kinds of places are becoming more and more popular across the globe.

Amix Coffee, however, remains the only place in the world where you can enjoy a coffee shop experience while fish swim at your feet. Located in the Vietnamese city of Ho Chi Minh, this café hosts two floors that are completely flooded with hundreds of fish of all sizes.

They are both covered with two layers of plastic tarp and the legs of furniture are wrapped in cotton in order to minimize the amount of friction.

Each of the floors covers an area of 20 square meters, with a water level of 25 centimeters deep. Visitors of the café are requested to enter only after removing their shoes and cleaning their feet. They then can enjoy snacks and drinks as fish swim at their feet.

Amix Coffee is the work of Nguyen Duoc Hoa, a 23 year old who wanted to bring animal cafes to a whole new level. It wasn’t so easy at first, since in general flooding a building with 10,000 liters of water.

The café uses a system that triple filtrates the water to keep it crystal clear and that pumps the perfect ratio of water on each floor to ensure that the fish are given the optimal conditions.
