The Diamond Made From Nail Clippings

Diamond rings can be a pricey investment that not everyone can afford nowadays. And even if you’ve got all the money in the world, sometimes a diamond ring may just not be special enough to propose to the love of your life.

People are always trying to find new and unique ways to propose, straying away from the standard that everyone else is doing.

For these very reasons, you may be interested in learning how to make your very own engagement ring with nail clippings.

You’ll need about a year’s worth to make a full ring, and Kiwami, a Japanese master of DIY projects is here to tell us all how to make it happen.

Kiwami is best known for his detailed videos that provide tutorials on how to make sharp knives out of anything you can possibly imagine. But now, he’s started to shift his focus to a more popular market – making an engagement ring with nail clippings!

He collected nail clippings for an entire year, keeping them in a jar. Once he had enough to get started, he grinded the clippings into a thin powder, mixed them with water and then compressed them into a lump with a bolt and a nut. Kiwami then baked the lump of clippings, polished it and somehow turned it into something that no one would ever believe was nail clippings.

It’s both amazing and disgusting at the same time.
