The first and probably most important thing you should know is that you will need a bike of quality. This means doing some research and speaking to a few professionals. You see, while mountain biking your bike does most of the work. Therefore it needs to be fit for its purpose. You will need a bike best suited to handle the different terrains you might encounter. This brings us to our next point. While riding you might feel a bit scared and even frightened especially if you are going to go for a ride on a rocky mountain. But, you have to keep in mind that your body has to be loose.

Your bike is made for handling the rocky mountains so you don’t have to feel like you need to control it. This might be a bit difficult at first because you are getting used to how things work. But, once you have the hang of it, you will notice that when your body is loose, the easier things will feel. The next thing you should keep in mind when mountain biking is keeping your momentum. Holding your sleep and even increasing it can make getting through the tough terrain much easier. This is why it is really important to keep your momentum up.
