You may get tired of watching people have so much fun while surfing and would like to get in on it. Great thing is that you can, anyone can start surfing. There really isn’t an age, gender, or height limit to this sport. However, there are a few things that you should know that will help make this a safe and fun experience for you. As a beginner, you may think that you can simply just go to any beach and get on your board but this is wrong. Each beach has its own type of waves that you can catch.

To keep you safe it is important to find out which beaches are the most beginner friendly. You can do this by doing some research online or by simply asking fellow surfers. Before you simply go off and get into the water, you are going to want to do some watching. By this we mean you should watch other surfers catch waves. Pay close attention to how they approach the waves and how they get up on their boards. Now much like any other sport, there are rules to surfing. You will only be able to get these rules from a fellow surfer or from a surfing instructor.
