Dogs, cats, hamsters, elephants, giraffes. You could probably spend a whole day naming all the animals you know. But even if you did that, you would still not be anywhere near the list of all animals that exist out there. But don’t blame yourself for not knowing about all of them, the world is full of species still unknown even to biologists. Here are some animals you might not have heard of, though.
Found in the Galapagos Islands and off Peru, the red-lipped batfish is an unusual-looking fish mostly known for its bright, almost fluorescent, red lips. This species is closely related to the rosy-lipped batfish, which is found near Cocos Island by the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.
