Paul McCarthy Skateboard

The Skateroom, is best known for it’s one-of-a-kind, limited edition designer skateboards which support non-profits and art institutions that aim to provide empowerment for children through art and skateboarding. They have recently announced their new project, in which they will be working with the legendary music artist Paul McCarthy for the second time.

Their first team project raised approximately $250,000 and went to support the construction of Skateistan’s first skateschool in Johannesburg, South Africa.

This time around, the project members have decided on a collection of eight different skateboard design varieties, with each one having on it what was originally a poster from the 2017 Woman’s March in January.  McCarthy takes a witty approach by using drawings of the United States president to show his stance on the current political situation.

The proceeds raised from the new collection of the skateboards this time will go towards growing and maintaining existing programs for a development and sport foundation, also located in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Each board costs $350 and there are only 50 of each model.  A set of eight of the boards can be purchased  for $5000, and there are also only 50 sets available for purchase.

The editions of the yellow board, ‘I Only Love Me’ and the red board, ‘Dick head, Dick Nose, Ass Hole’ can only be purchased in a set.

If you are looking to get support the cause or get the trendiest skateboard of the century, they can be ordered online at the Skateroom online shop, or purchased are every Hauser & Wirth location throughout the world.
