Pablo Escoburgers

Pablo Escoburger’s is a fast-food restaurant named after the notorious Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar. The Melbourne restaurant has been criticized for it’s highly controversial name, as well as for the fact that they serve burgers with white powder on top, rolled in a fake dollar bill.

All of the controversy began when the pop-up restaurant posted a photo of their ‘Patron Burger’ on social media, featuring their white powder, dollar bill burger.  Although the powder was actually just garlic powder, many people found the cocaine reference to be highly offensive.

Many people expressed their anger on social media in response to the picture of the burger, and the restaurant responded by explaining that they did not intend to promote or idolize Pablo Escobar in any way, they merely wanted to provide a good laugh for Australians.
