Into the Wild World of Exotic Pasta Recipes

Oh, pasta, the great adhesive of humanity, our mortal vice, our winding talisman. There may be no greater force solidifying the bond of humankind than a bowl of spaghetti, and for that, we will forever be indebted to the Italians. And though we’d be completely satisfied chowing down on a bowl of heavy cream fettuccine, we sometimes crave something more exotic. A little less tried and true, a little off the beaten path. So this brief list of our favorite weird pasta dishes goes out to the day ones, those of us who’ve loved pasta with all our hearts even before it was cool to do so.

Ok, so you know that timeless classic of American-Italian cuisine – spaghetti and meatballs? So just do it the wrong way. Yup, throw everything you know about making a pasta dish out the window, it won’t do you any good here. For this recipe, what you basically need to do is to shove the spaghetti, the tomato sauce, and a handful of cheeses of your choosing (i.e. mozzarella and parmesan, no need to get fancy here), and stuff them into the guts of a meatball vast enough to hold all that fatty deliciousness.

An unholy combination of fruit and pasta. Nothing sweeter than a bowl of sin.  This recipe combines the sugary taste of strawberries with the acidic flavor of balsamic vinegar in order to create a truly blasphemous bowl of pasta that’s sure to make any Italian person cry just by looking at it.
