How Spicy is Too Spicy?

Adding a dash of hot sauce to your meal is completely normal. In fact, there are a number of different cultures that actually really enjoy spicy foods. This includes Indian food and even Chines foods. Now with that said you will probably notice that your body or well your stomach reacts differently to different spice levels. This tends to happen more often once you get older. That’s why it is important to know how spicey is too spicey. You have to remember that eating too many spicy foods can really affect your stomach health and well your overall wellbeing.

Adding a bit of spice to your meals is completely okay. Spicey foods have actually become rather popular lately with spicy Korean Ramen noodles going viral. Now you may think that they are just ordinary ramen noodles but they are far from it. These ramen noodles are actually really spicey to the point where some people cry but on the other hand, some people really enjoy it. So you see no matter what your spice tolerance is you can indulge if you like but it is really important that you watch that you don’t overindulge. With that said here is what can happen if you add too many chilies to your meals.

The main and well most common side effect of eating spicy foods is acid reflux. This can be extremely uncomfortable to deal with especially when you are laying down in bed. You can also experience an upset stomach. More specifically you can experience having to deal with the runs. This can be really unpleasant and partially painful. What this means is that you will need to slow down on your spice intake and try to drink as much water as possible. Do note that even if you experience this it does not mean you shouldn’t eat spicy foods anymore.
