Among the two, saltwater fishing is the most popular when saltwater fishing competitors target tuna, Chinook, and marlin fish. Whereas with freshwater fishing competitors target catfish, snook, bass, and salmon. Sport fishing is judged based on the type of fish they catch and how many fish they catch.
