A recent lawsuit has been filed by Sidi Slimane, a Moroccan man against his wife. He is accusing her of adultery, after learning that he has been sterile his entire life. While at his annual health checkup, he discovered that there is no way that he could be the father of his wife’s nine children.
Sidi’s entire life has been turned around by the findings of a urologist. Apparently, he had a small cyst on one of his testicles that has been there ever since he was born. The doctor ran some tests, which showed that although the cyst was not a life threatening hazard, however it does render him to be sterile.
He has been happily married to his wife for the past 35 years, and they nine children, together, or so he thought. He did not go straight to filing for divorce, however he went through more tests to be completely sure that he is in fact not the father of the children. The man was completely shocked by the findings and filed a lawsuit against his wife, demanding a divorce and disownment of all of his children.
In Morocco, adultery is punishable crime. Therefore is his wife is proven guilty she will have face prison time.
