Face masks have become a necessity in 2020 and people have really embraced the challenge to make it fashion-forward. Tons of brands have launched unique and stylish face masks these past few months. Shoppers can choose from all kinds of masks: adjustable, machine washable, reversible design options, and now they come with added aromas that are sure to make you hungry. Multiple companies have come out with protective masks over the past few weeks that smell like food. Right now there are chicken and bacon-scented masks, but we’re sure other food items will become available soon.
Fast-food chain Jack in the Box created the fried chicken-scented face mask to promote their new plant-based menu item: the Unchicken sandwich. The mask is decorated with the new sandwich, smiley faces, and the Jack in the Box logo. The free face covering was available on the chain’s website at no cost on October 23 while supplies last.

Hormel Foods also recently unveiled the “Breathable Bacon” mask. The innovation “features the latest in pork-scented technology with a two-ply multi-fiber cloth to keep the delicious smell of bacon always wrapped around your nose and mouth,” according to the press release. Hormel has announced its new “smellicious innovation” (which we heard about at DesignTAXI). The Black Label Breathable Bacon face mask features “the latest in pork-scented technology.” The two-ply, multi-fiber cloth really smells like bacon is covering your nose and mouth.
“We’re continually focused on innovation—from new products, to marketing and distribution—all in an effort to deliver new and exciting ways to experience and enjoy Black Label Bacon,” said Nick Schweitzer, Senior Brand Manager at the company, in a press release. “In 2020, that means connecting everyone’s favorite bacon scent to the year’s ‘it’ accessory, and in doing so, bring Black Label Bacon closer to our fans.”
