DNA Dating

In recent years, we’ve seen no shortage of unique and interesting dating services, with apps that even match people by the people they both hate.  Other apps allow users to date people that look like their celebrity crushes, and the list goes on.

If you’re looking more a more scientifically calculated way to date, Pheramor might be right for you. This new dating service actually matches people up by taking their data and scientifically analyzing and comparing it.

For a mere $29.99, they will ship a kit to users with a swab that is to be returned for analysis in the lab. Pheramor will then analyze the swabs, and will examine 11 genes linked to attraction. The users are then sent three potential matches within a certain proximity each day, with each match given a grade based on their estimated compatibility, from 0 to 100.

There have been many studies that have found that people are attracted to each other when their HLA genes are different. Yes, the saying that opposites attract is actually true and is backed up biology.
