Decriminalizing Psychedelic Mushrooms

If a new project goes through and gets enough support through votes, then psychedelic mushrooms, best known as simply shrooms may very well be decriminalized in Denver, Colorado. This would make Denver the very first American state to do so.

The fact that this initiative is being taken on means that Americans, although it’s only one city is changing their view towards recreational drugs, and are starting to focus more on the therapeutic benefits.

If the initiative goes through, then it would make both the possession and use of psychoactive mushrooms no longer a criminal activity.

However, it’s important to note that it would not legalize the growth and distribution of these mushrooms, making it similar to the legalization weed back in 2014 that Colorado too on.

By decriminalizing shrooms, it would same Denver a great deal of money as well as time. Portugal, for example, where shrooms are also decriminalized, has also seen impressive drops in deaths related to drugs.

Perhaps this is tale-telling that the less involvement, the better for society as a whole.
