Chef Surprises Wife By Creating A “Quarantine Grill” Restaurant Right At Home

Lately, a lot of restrictions have been imposed on our day-to-day life. Apart from social distancing, one of the hardest things about the current quarantine situation is the fact that we haven’t seen the inside of a restaurant for months. And for those of us who love to eat out whenever we get the chance, it’s been pretty rough. Luckily for one woman, she now has her very own grill restaurant – complete with a private chef – right from the comfort of her own home.

Jeffery ‘Butta’ Johnson is the chef and husband who thought up this brilliant idea to surprise his wife. He cooked up a four-course menu, complete with delicious-sounding dishes like “Jumbo lump crab cake with a spicy remoulade sauce” and “Sauteed collard greens with spicy andouille sausage”. For dessert? No less than a homemade strawberry cheesecake topped with fresh strawberries.

Needless to say, it was definitely the perfect thing to cheer his wife up. But Johnson’s wife isn’t the only one whose spirits were lifted by this delightful surprise. It caught the attention of the Twitter world as well, with the post garnering more than 285k likes, with plenty of women cheering on his romantic gesture in the comments.

While we don’t all have chef husbands at home to cook us a restaurant-style dinner, we can certainly all be inspired by Johnson’s actions, by showing our loved ones that we’re willing to go the extra mile to make them smile during these hard times. Together, we can get through this!
