In case you were not paying attention, rapper Cardi B came on to the stage with six different outfits during the AMA’s this year, as she took on the role of hostess. Cardi B walked the red carpet in a black custom Schiaparelli gown, which she accessorized with a matching veil, giant chandelier earrings, and a gold face mask. Her metallic gold nail extensions peeked out from her black gloves.
To kick off the AMAs, Cardi B came out in a long-sleeve slitted dress black dress and a giant feathered headpiece by French designer Alexandre Vauthier. More photos of Cardi’s couture look can be seen on the Alexandre Vauthier Instagram page. The next time she was seen on stage, Cardi wore yet another glowing black dress, this one velvet. She paired her third look with thigh-high, bedazzled boots.
Cardi switched up her color palette her fourth time on dress, as she came to accept the Favorite Hip-Hop song award for her song “Up”. The female rapper came out wearing a neon yellow gown and a sheer flowing skirt and shawl. The piece has been reported to be custom-made by Jean Paul Gaultier.
The artist walked back on stage to continue her hosting duties in her second feathered look of the night. Cardi wore a purple dress designed by Jean-Louis Sabaji for their Winter 2021 collection. The dress features hand-embroidered Swarovski crystals and purple feathered shoulder pads. Following that, Cardi switched up for her sixth look, coming out in a black-and-white corset top, sheer fingerless gloves, and a black headpiece. She complimented her fan shaped headpiece with a black looped necklace.
