Beyonce’s BeyGOOD Charity is Donating Over $500k

Everyone’s favorite superstar queen Beyoncé is doing good. Through her nonprofit BeyGOOD, Beyoncé continues to provide ways to help those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. BeyGOOD has been at the forefront of providing people with basic needs like food, water, household supplies, COVID testing, and mental health support. They’ve also been supplying $10K grants to over 250 small businesses. Beyoncé has also directed resources to Houston, including providing more than 500 COVID-19 tests, partnering with a local church for a drive-thru food distribution site and supplying basic necessities to those in need through local organizations. BeyGOOD announced on its website that the Impact Fund will provide $50,000 for those impacted by the housing crisis.

“The housing moratorium is set to end on December 26th, resulting in mortgage foreclosures and rental evictions,” the nonprofit wrote in a press release. “Many families are impacted, due to the pandemic that resulted in job loss, sickness and overall economy downturn.” The $5,000 grants will go to 100 individuals and families facing foreclosures or evictions. Recipients must provide all necessary documentation to the NAACP. The online application opens on Jan. 7, 2021. Funds will be disbursed in late January. Round 2 will open in February.

After helping get people essential supplies and launching a Small Business Impact fund, the organization will now be giving $5,000 grants to 100 people facing foreclosure or eviction. ‘When we were faced with the pandemic caused by COVID-19, BeyGOOD created a plan to make a difference,’ the statement read. ‘We assisted organizations across the country that were providing people with basic needs like food, water, household supplies and COVID testing. We also provided mental health support.’

‘Beyoncé is continuing her heart of support and helping where needed most,’ it went on before explaining how Phase Two of the BeyGOOD Impact Fund will address those impacted by the looming housing crisis. The message ended: ‘#BeyGOOD. Keep the Faith. Remain in Hope. Together we can all Help.’

“Beyonce is continuing her heart of support and helping where needed most,” the nonprofit wrote. “Phase 2 of the BeyGOOD impact fund will now help assist those impacted by the housing crisis. The housing moratorium is set to end on December 26th, resulting in mortgage foreclosures and rental evictions. Many families are impacted, due to the pandemic that resulted in job loss, sickness and overall economy downturn.”
