Many people have skydiving on their bucket lists and for good reason. Jumping out of a moving airplane from hundreds if not thousands of meters above the ground is extreme. So much so that some people only do it once in their life. However, there are adrenaline junkies much like yourself who see skydiving as a walk in the park. So what do you do to take things a step further? Well, you go base jumping. Base jumping is similar to skydiving, however, it is more extreme because of how it is done.
You see with base jumping you are challenged by jumping off a platform that is at a much lower altitude and landing proximity than skydiving. With skydiving, you are typically looking at a jump that is around 2000 feet and more. Now with base jumping, you can look forward to jumping from an object which is under 2000 feet high. This means that you don’t have any time to deal with complications and you will need to deploy your parachute much sooner. With that said, because of this high risk, it is always advised that you do your research on base jumping first and then do it with the assistance of a professional.
